• Conduct and analyze U.S. and international trademark searches to determine availability of marks and prepare clearance opinions • Handle day-to-day filing and prosecution of domestic and foreign trademark applications • Support enforcement efforts by conducting research, collecting evidence, and preparing C&D letters and takedown notices • Review and flag Watch Notices and assist in Opposition/Cancelation proceedings • Create and manage search and infringement records using WebTMS docketing software • Correspond with clients in an approachable manner to answer trademark questions, obtain instructions, and provide practical guidance on trademark best practices
• At least 5 years’ experience as a dedicated trademark paralegal, with strong preference for prior in-house experience; bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate required • Experience handling a broad range of global trademark issues; some experience with copyright and domain name issues a plus • Experience conducting and analyzing trademark searches using online global databases (e.g., SAEGIS), with history of using online resources such as social media platforms to conduct investigations • Comfort instructing and posing questions to international trademark agents • Experience filing applications, renewals, and other documents with the USPTO, as well as familiarity using the TMEP • Significant prior use of trademark portfolio management databases (experience with WebTMS preferred)
