Beschreibung

• Run day-to-day accounting operations for Respage, a bootstrapped SaaS company • Own end-to-end payroll processing, including semi-monthly/bi-weekly cycles, bonuses, commissions, and off-cycle runs • Manage payroll tax registrations, filings, and notices across multiple states • Administer benefits deductions, 401(k) contributions and reconciliations, and PTO accruals • Partner with People Ops on new hire setup, terminations, and employment classification questions • Serve as the internal expert on multi-state employment issues, including state registrations, nexus, local taxes, and withholding requirements • Own sales tax determination, registration, filing, and remittance across applicable states • Monitor economic nexus thresholds and flag new state obligations • Maintain state registrations, annual reports, and business licenses • Respond to state and agency notices • Ensure billing accuracy against contracts and identify revenue leakage • Improve billing workflows, including payment link adoption and invoice automation in QBO • Manage accounts receivable activities including invoicing, cash application, payment reconciliation, and collections follow-up • Manage accounts payable activities including vendor onboarding, approvals, payment runs, and 1099 filings • Resolve billing and vendor discrepancies and coordinate with client-facing teams on disputes • Surface aging issues, exceptions, and problem accounts • Build and document scalable accounting processes • Create redundancy in critical functions such as payroll and billing • Identify and eliminate manual work in billing, collections, and reconciliation

🎯 Anforderungen

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful ownership of payroll and billing operations • Hands-on experience running payroll for a multi-state workforce, including state registrations and tax filings • Working knowledge of sales tax compliance and economic nexus in a SaaS or services context • Experience keeping AR and AP cycles running cleanly in a high-volume environment • QuickBooks Online proficiency • Comfort with automation and system integrations strongly preferred • Comfortable operating independently with high ownership and low bureaucracy • Strong process orientation • Excellent attention to detail paired with sound judgment • Clear, direct communication across finance and cross-functional teams • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • CPA a plus but not required • Must be located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Delaware
