Beschreibung

• Perform a wide range of accounting functions supporting WVU Medicine’s month-end financial statement process • Complete documentation and schedules during month-end, budget preparation, and external audits • Perform payroll representative duties for Accounting and Budgeting • Evaluate financial processes to maximize efficiency and ensure internal controls are followed • Investigate and communicate variance issues to the supervisor or department director/manager • Assist construction Project Managers with capital budgets, purchase commitments, and invoice payments • Reconcile invoice payments with purchase commitments and verify sales/use tax application • Assist Procure-To-Pay in resolving open purchase commitments and unpaid invoices • Analyze and distribute construction payroll to capital projects monthly • Prepare journal entries as needed • Assist in disposing of surplus capital assets • Compile financial support documentation for budget and external audit purposes • Support performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor of Science degree with a major or concentration in Accounting or Finance; OR high school diploma or equivalent AND five (5) years’ experience in project management, accounting, payroll or accounts payable systems • Ability to sit for extended periods • Ability to use computers, answer the telephone, and use office equipment including fax, copier, and printer • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work with computer databases and spreadsheet software • Ability to effectively interact with individuals on all organizational levels • Effective investigative abilities and ability to document follow-up actions • May be required to travel between facilities
