Beschreibung

• Work with a variety of clients, typically one to two in a year • Rapidly build trust with clients by demonstrating technical expertise and understanding their domain and objectives • Drive platform engineering work at the client level, connecting long-term technical vision to shipped outcomes • Lead platform strategy and delivery across diverse platform types • Balance technology choices pragmatically while delivering high-quality work within deadlines • Advise clients on architecture, scalability, and platform evolution, connecting technical decisions to product and business outcomes • Collaborate on systems spanning the full ML lifecycle from data ingestion and preprocessing to model deployment, integration, and performance monitoring • Drive innovation by surfacing new technical approaches and product solutions • Lead or initiate formal feedback conversations through retrospectives • Articulate and document outcomes and drive action items forward • Contribute to team and company culture by modeling company values • Design and manage high-level technical roadmaps for large engagements • Build networks and maintain relationships with clients and industry leaders • Coach client engineering teams, transfer knowledge, and improve practices • Influence client CTOs and executive decisions • Plan and execute technical work involving stakeholders across a client's technical organization • Partner with account teams on planning, opportunity identification, stakeholder relationships, and pre-sales scope shaping • Facilitate retrospectives, strategy sessions, and technical deep-dives • Identify, mitigate, and resolve blockers to team progress • Mentor, lead or design workshops, represent 8th Light in the tech community, and support hiring processes • Demonstrate leadership in scalable system design, modular architecture, and platform- or product-oriented development • Apply testing strategies, observability, fault tolerance, secure engineering practices, and architectural patterns

🎯 Anforderungen

• Long-term repeated success on a variety of projects, typically over the course of 10+ years • Deep consulting acumen, technical expertise, and product thinking • Experience building and shipping production-grade platforms, reusable foundations, tools, infrastructure, and workflows • Experience taking AI and agentic systems from prototype to production, including infrastructure, authentication, and observability • Experience delivering high-stakes consulting engagements across multiple language paradigms, stacks, ecosystems, and client industries • Experience leading production-grade software delivery using Java, C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Go, Ruby, Scala, R, and SQL • Experience experimenting with AI development tools and translating experimentation into faster, higher-quality delivery • Track record of understanding, assessing, and embracing new software-industry tooling and trends • Experience building or integrating AI/ML features, including recommendation engines, NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics, RAG pipelines, and agents • Experience leading modernization and replatforming efforts • Experience solving architecture-level problems involving scalability, security, reliability, performance, maintainability, and observability • Experience facilitating alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience providing mentorship and team support at scale • Preferred experience in platform engineering, data engineering, Databricks, production agentic systems, RAG pipelines, vector search, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, n8n, DevSecOps, DevOps, MLOps, and Infrastructure as Code
