Beschreibung

• Manage the WECC Interconnection Engineers and support their personal and professional development • Strategically analyze interconnection procedures, queues, and distribution systems in assigned RTO/ISO regions to guide greenfield project siting • Manage preparation of interconnection requests through implementation of Interconnection Agreements • Lead all WECC interconnection requests and collaborate with regional Development and Execution teams throughout the project lifecycle • Monitor required system upgrades and identify mitigation solutions within applicable tariffs and processes • Lead the WECC Interconnection team through all interconnection activities across project development and execution • Support greenfield development by reviewing system analyses, estimating study-process budgets and schedules, coordinating technical materials, and providing viability feedback • Review utility study scopes, costs, and schedules; identify cost- or time-saving alternatives; track efficiencies; and negotiate and complete interconnection and engineering/procurement agreements • Lead or assist internal groups in completing transmission-owner requirements and integrating transmission-owner schedules into construction schedules • Manage direct reports’ day-to-day interconnection tasks • Create and manage project-management task tracking tools • Prepare and present periodic reports to management and internal teams • Develop and assist with alternative process efficiencies

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor´s in Electrical Engineering or related field • 5+ years’ work history in renewable or traditional energy development, or transmission planning • Ability to analyze power flow and system impact studies for interconnection of utility scale solar, wind, and battery storage generating facilities • Familiarity with the interconnection request package and all items required for submission • Familiarity with transmission systems and transmission expansion plans in US • Knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariffs and Generator Interconnection Procedures for assigned region(s) • Project management experience • Previous employment or experience working with a utility TRO/ISO, or consultants providing services within the targeted footprint is strongly preferred • Approximately 20% travel required • Work authorization will be confirmed through Form I-9 and E-Verify
