Beschreibung

• Process outstanding overpayments and facilitate resolution of refunds for patients and insurance companies • Review, document, and resolve accounts in credit balance status and/or solicited refunds • Process and submit items for approval within state, federal, and department guidelines • Research and resolve issues identified via reports, email, and assigned callbacks from various departments • Follow up on open credit balances to obtain required information • Escalate accounts to other departments or individuals for additional information or review • Access payor systems to research and correct claims or initiate recoupment when necessary • Maintain current knowledge of contracts, fee schedules, policies, and procedures relevant to billing • Report payor issues to the Lead/Supervisor • Perform other duties as assigned • Position has no supervisory responsibilities • Travel 0%

🎯 Anforderungen

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 1-2 years’ medical billing experience preferred • Customer service experience preferred • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing and reimbursement • Strong written and verbal communications skills • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and calculations • Ability to multi-task efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects • Strong attention to detail • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Regular scheduled attendance • Must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies • No certificates, licenses, or registrations required
