Beschreibung

• Lead development and implementation of secure cloud environments hosting data and batch/real-time analytical platforms for public and private sector clients • Build automated deployments using configuration management technology • Deploy new modules, upgrades, and fixes to test and production environments • Build, test, and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code • Contribute to coding custom test automation frameworks • Maintain and update scripts in response to changing requirements or implementations • Set up and maintain environments for manual and automated testing • Investigate and resolve incidents as part of production support • Perform routine application maintenance • Assist with gap analysis, alternative solution identification, and modification scoping • Participate in contingency planning, including backup and restore procedures • Document functions, changes, modules, and test activities/results • Mentor and drive the team to deliver customer requirements

🎯 Anforderungen

• A Bachelor's degree or greater, or at least 5 plus years' working experience in a DevOps capacity • UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance required; candidates without SC clearance may apply for support to obtain it if they have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum of 5 years • Commercial experience deploying and operating infrastructure and applications on AWS and other cloud environments • Experience developing and operating open-source and commercial software within a cloud-centric environment • Server build and administration on Linux and Windows • GitHub/GitLab source control and code reviews • CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies, such as Terraform and Ansible • Test Driven Development with appropriate tools and frameworks • Cloud orchestration and containerisation technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker • Knowledge of large-scale databases and distributed technologies, such as RDS • Knowledge of distributed event streaming technologies, such as Kafka • Bash/Shell or Python scripting for automation • Experience mentoring and leading people and taking point on key decisions
