Beschreibung

• Design, build, and maintain software solutions supporting Scripture translation, distribution, and engagement • Understand the application lifecycle and architectural concerns and design application components • Deliver well-tested, scalable, high-quality code meeting specified requirements • Guide software and infrastructure direction through feedback to delivery and architecture teams • Implement testing and debugging to reduce technical debt and ensure scalability • Execute efficiently to meet sprint progress goals • Participate in agile meetings including daily standups, sprint reviews, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and backlog development • Mentor and coach other developers • Provide informative, solution-oriented, respectful, and constructive code review feedback • Collaborate with Product Managers to understand, prioritize, and implement user needs • Create and maintain documentation for maintenance, upgrades, and standard operating procedures • Diagnose and resolve technical problems; propose options and recommend solutions • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security • Keep current with best practices, industry trends, and new technologies • Document annual and quarterly objectives and measurable key results • Proactively deepen skills in technologies and platforms • Lead implementation of AI for software engineering optimization and application functionality

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ • Identify with and participate in a Christian church and proactively seek to grow in Christian faith • Participate in organizational prayer, devotional times, and organization-wide events • Maintain exemplary Christian ethics, behavior, and conduct • Support organizational biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work-related spiritual activities • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; relevant coding bootcamp training may apply • 5+ years of full-stack software engineering experience in an Agile environment • Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers • Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and SQL • Experience with React and Next.js • Experience with AWS CDK, Serverless Framework, or CloudFormation • Experience with Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, and PostgreSQL • Experience with Jest, Cypress, Chromatic, or Playwright • Experience with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD using GitHub Actions or AWS Amplify • Effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, inclusive leadership, service orientation, adaptability, time management, problem-solving, initiative, and leadership skills • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and participate in virtual meetings • Ability to use standard office technology and software tools • Must pass a background check and satisfactory reference checks • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States • Must sign and agree to uphold the ABS Affirmation of Biblical Community • Must affirm and uphold American Bible Society’s Christian beliefs as a condition of employment
