Beschreibung

• Develop and author Airworthiness certification and conformance plans for developmental and production aircraft • Support Flight Releases, Type Certification, tailored airworthiness, and FAA general use airspace integration across all services • Perform technical airworthiness planning, tracking, and verification within a digital environment • Develop and negotiate airworthiness bases of certification, means of compliance, and other certification activities • Cultivate total-system airworthiness relationships with engineers, technical authorities, and customer partners • Guide technical reviews across total-system design, development, and test processes • Perform functional and process analyses, requirements allocation, and definition studies with program engineers and customer representatives • Translate customer requirements into criteria and derived requirements • Ensure realization of customer airworthiness certification objectives and tailor airworthiness processes throughout the product lifecycle • Support design development toward airworthiness compliance and processes leading to Military Flight Release or other customer-specific approvals • Support Airworthiness Boards, technical interchange meetings, and risk assessments by soliciting engineering and systems data • Develop, author, and maintain airworthiness activities digitally alongside system requirements, schedules, flight test matrices, and risk assessments • Perform statistical analysis of program performance and provide input to flight test program execution schedules • Develop creative solutions to technical and execution challenges

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an aviation-related engineering discipline • 8+ years of airworthiness engineering experience • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with Department of War and FAA airworthiness authorities • Experience with Department of War Airworthiness Policy Directives, Instructions, and Airworthiness Bulletins • Proven experience with Department of War and FAA airworthiness processes, including MIL-HDBK-516 series documents, throughout a developmental aircraft lifecycle • Experience developing and managing airworthiness plans and tracking airworthiness criteria • Experience with manned or UAS developmental military aircraft • Ability to develop and execute airworthiness certification process improvement initiatives • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, especially on technical subjects • Strong computer and technical software experience with MATLAB, JIRA, DOORS, MS Office, CATIA, and 3DX • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
