Beschreibung

• Run security operations for a fast-moving AI business across the core business, commercial client work, and Metis Red • Own identity and access, endpoints, network controls, vulnerability remediation, resilience testing, UK IT service and facilities • Establish monitoring coverage, identify gaps and close them • Design and build an agentic detection and response capability with the team • Operate security operations manually while the autonomous capability is built, then run the resulting capability • Own alert triage, investigation and incident response end to end • Operate and tune the autonomous security operations capability, treating agent output as a first line rather than a verdict • Own detection engineering, including logging standards, alert quality, coverage gaps and false-positive reduction • Validate detection coverage against internal red-team attack paths and remediate gaps • Run post-incident reviews and drive actions to closure • Manage joiners, movers and leavers, privileged access, SSO and secrets management • Harden endpoints, maintain patch compliance, administer EDR and manage device lifecycle • Manage network and edge controls, remote access and segmentation • Run auditor-ready access reviews • Own UK IT service, end-user support, devices and on-premise server estate • Own the approximately 85-product SaaS estate, including licensing, access, spend and rationalisation • Set and report service levels and maintain a healthy support queue • Own IT procurement and asset management • Own backup security and ransomware recovery; test recovery • Run business continuity and disaster recovery exercises and maintain evidence • Establish and prove an out-of-hours arrangement • Line manage and develop an offshore security resource • Produce continuous operational evidence for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 • Answer the operational portion of client due diligence • Maintain accurate asset, log and access inventories

🎯 Anforderungen

• Five or more years in security operations, with at least two years carrying real accountability for incident response in a live environment • Hands-on cloud security operations with AWS and Azure, including logging, monitoring and identity • Identity and access administration at scale: SSO, privileged access, joiner and leaver process • Endpoint and EDR administration across a distributed fleet • Vulnerability management at volume, with a track record of closing findings • Experience inside an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 control environment and producing auditor-accepted evidence • Automation-minded: scripting, infrastructure as code, or demonstrated ability to direct agentic tooling and check its work • Ability to hold standards with engineers and commercial colleagues and say no with a reason • Relevant certification such as CREST, GIAC, or an equivalent hands-on qualification is desirable • Exposure to operational technology or industrial environments is desirable • Practical AI or machine learning security awareness is desirable • Experience in a startup, scale-up or managed service provider is desirable • Experience managing or coaching an offshore or distributed team member is desirable
