Beschreibung

• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of communications specialists. • Assign work, set priorities, balance workload against competing deadlines, and manage team capacity. • Review and approve team work products for quality, accuracy, and consistency. • Provide coaching, feedback, performance input, and professional development; support hiring, onboarding, and retention. • Establish team standards, style guidance, editorial workflows, review cycles, and version control practices. • Serve as the primary communications contact for client leadership and manage expectations, escalations, and competing requests. • Support congressional testimony preparation for federal senior leaders. • Draft talking points, executive summaries, briefings, and executive-level communications products. • Coordinate with subject matter experts, leaders, and stakeholders to develop senior-leader messaging. • Translate complex messaging into plain language. • Ensure content reflects critical information and standardized messaging, tone, and voice. • Review documents for stylistic and formatting consistency and alignment with client style guides and federal plain-language standards. • Identify targeted stakeholders and support implementation of executive communications decisions. • Maintain communication channels between VHA Central Office, VISNs, and VA Medical Centers. • Coordinate communications strategies, plans, and mission statements with VA staff offices. • Update, execute, and maintain the Communications Plan, integrating it with EHR product and program plans.

🎯 Anforderungen

• 8 years of related communications experience. • 2+ years supervising, leading, or mentoring communications staff. • Bachelor's degree in a related field. • Experience managing team workload, review cycles, and delivery against firm deadlines. • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government. • Experience creating, executing, and measuring strategic communications plans. • Comfortability supporting complex client relationships. • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
