Beschreibung

• Establish Atticus’s media presence and shape how clients, law firms, the SSA, policymakers, and thought leaders understand the company and its impact • Own corporate communications and public relations, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer • Build a communications program centered on data journalism and policy-driven storytelling, particularly around the SSA • Organize Washington fly-ins and stage Congressional events • Build media relationships so client experiences shape policy conversations • Set communications strategy, core messages, and a 12-month editorial calendar • Build operational infrastructure for communications • Develop an earned media strategy and secure coverage in major outlets and relevant trades • Lead policy newsjacking and rapid response with commentary, data, spokespeople, and op-eds • Support Congressional briefings, roundtables, and hill events • Own CEO and leadership positioning, thought leadership platforms, and crisis preparedness • Manage PR and public affairs agencies • Partner with Policy, Legal, Product, and Growth • Own media strategy, content calendar, approval workflows, messaging frameworks, and performance measurement • Hire and develop the communications team over time

🎯 Anforderungen

• 10+ years in communications • Meaningful experience in a policy-adjacent environment such as advocacy, government, a regulated industry, a mission-driven consumer brand, or a firm serving those clients • Track record of earned media wins delivered through data and original insight • Experience organizing fly-ins, staging Congressional events, working with hill staff, and moving policy narratives through Washington • Strong writing and editing skills across reporter pitches, CEO op-eds, internal memos, and talking points • Ability to coordinate agencies, Legal, Policy, executives, and Growth • Government affairs fluency, including understanding how Congress and federal agencies work • Relationships in Washington, or ability to build them quickly • Genuine compassion for the people served • Comfort working in a data-first, performance-driven culture
