Beschreibung

• Lead the preconstruction estimating team through every stage of the bidding process. • Ensure bid accuracy, technical compliance, and competitive pricing for utility-scale solar projects. • Oversee estimating procedures and preconstruction activities. • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, and Business Development to develop proposals. • Mentor estimators and provide formal training and diverse work experiences. • Review estimates and evaluate project risks and opportunities. • Drive continuous improvements to preconstruction processes and systems. • Coordinate the transition of awarded projects from estimating to operations. • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, engineers, and clients to ensure a seamless handoff. • Support contract negotiations and establish project execution strategies. • Develop department strategy and vision, reporting relevant industry precedents and procedures. • Advise and support estimate planning, pre-bid meetings, schedule creation, and proposal preparation. • Support development of Mega project review documents for executive approvals. • Verify inclusion of project quality, safety, training, PPE, and JHA risk costs in estimates. • Ensure selection and utilization of subcontractors meeting corporate risk management criteria. • Ensure site visits, cost/production report reviews, estimate planning, special studies, and standard cost data development.

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in construction related discipline. • 5 or more years of applicable preconstruction and/or construction experience or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience in estimating, project management, contract negotiations and sound construction methods; with an emphasis on safety and quality. • Experience leading estimating or preconstruction teams supporting utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects. • Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, construction means and methods, procurement, and project execution. • Blattner is not able to sponsor H-1B visas or permanent residency; candidates must hold valid, independent work authorization (e.g., U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or other valid, non-expired work authorization).
