Beschreibung

• Grow from assisting with to leading month-end close processes • Prepare journal entries with solid JE support • Prepare balance-sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for financial reporting • Prepare documents for audit requests and assist with auditor questions • Review junior staff work, provide feedback, and train or coach staff as needed • Perform cross-period and actual-vs-forecast analyses for balance sheet and P&L • Explain large variances and identify missing revenue or expenses requiring accruals • Maintain documentation for managed areas in accordance with US GAAP • Streamline processes and identify inefficiencies • Collaborate with the Controller and VP of Finance on process improvements, internal controls, and accounting policies • Research US GAAP technical accounting topics • Manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and communicate issues and solutions to the Controller and VP of Finance • Collaborate with AP, AR, Business Systems, FP&A, Inventory Management, and Operations • Report to the Controller

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Active CPA license • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, including a mix of public accounting (audit only) and industry accounting • Extensive hands-on experience in month-end close tasks, including journal entries, BS reconciliations, support schedules for financial statements and audits, reviewing and approving work prepared by others, and maintaining process and procedure documentation • Ability to assist with and eventually take ownership of financial reporting and periodic tax filings • Strong attention to detail and sense of ownership and responsibility • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize under tight or competing deadlines • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment and improve processes • Ability to work independently as a self-starter without close supervision • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally within and outside Accounting • Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to train and coach others and provide timely feedback • Adaptability to new systems • Public accounting experience from one of the Big 4 accounting firms preferred • Industry accounting experience in GL Accounting and/or from a SaaS company preferred • People management experience preferred • Training and coaching experience preferred • Experience with AI tools for automation and efficiency improvements preferred • Must be able to work in the Eastern Standard Time Zone daily • Authorization to work in the US required
