Beschreibung

• Gather client networking requirements and design optimized solutions using diverse vendors and technologies • Design, implement, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency network architectures for HPC and AI clusters • Deploy new HPC/AI solutions or augment existing solutions from the ground up • Maintain knowledge of multiple Network Operating Systems, such as Cumulus Linux and SONIC • Configure and optimize switches, routers, and firewalls for HPC and AI workloads • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity, latency, and security problems • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure access protocols • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps • Consult on and assist with day-to-day management of clients’ research computing infrastructure • Maintain HPC and AI infrastructure in Linux-based environments • Lead technical discussions and represent Cambridge Computer to clients during engagements • Validate solution designs, meet client requirements, and confirm technical feasibility and deployability • Scope professional services deliverables and set clear client expectations • Build documentation and provide client knowledge transfer • Advise on networking, storage, data protection, digital archiving, and other infrastructure technologies • Develop advanced expertise in and certifications from vendors used in Cambridge Computer’s solution stack

🎯 Anforderungen

• At least 5+ years providing networking deployment services and/or cluster administration • University undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a science-related field required • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, and routing protocols • Hands-on experience with network equipment • Networking certifications from Cisco, NVIDIA Networking (Mellanox), Juniper, Arista, HPE Aruba, and other manufacturers preferred • Solid knowledge of GPU-focused hardware/software and Linux system administration • Solid fundamentals in cluster design/management technologies, including Bright, Werewolf, and XCat • Background with storage technologies and parallel filesystems, including Lustre, GPFS, and BeeGFS • Experience networking and configuring Ethernet and InfiniBand network switches • Familiarity with HPC schedulers, including SLURM, UGE, and LSF • Knowledge of programming/libraries, including MPI and CUDA • Proficiency with scripting, including Bash and Python • Deep knowledge of technology industry leaders and infrastructure vendors • Familiarity with containerized environments such as Kubernetes and Docker and their networking requirements • Ability to work remotely, independently, and unsupervised • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including short day trips • Impeccable communication skills, multitasking ability, and high attention to detail • Effective problem-solving, organization, creativity, intellectual curiosity, ability to deal with ambiguity, and adaptability to different personalities • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis required
