Beschreibung

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules across multiple accounting areas • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities • Analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and perform variance analysis • Partner with accounting leadership to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results • Assist in evaluating complex accounting transactions and business initiatives under U.S. GAAP • Prepare technical accounting analyses and accounting memorandums • Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosure support • Assist with implementation and adoption of new accounting standards • Contribute during external audit engagements, prepare audit support schedules, and respond to auditor requests • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting documentation • Support SOX-readiness and compliance initiatives • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, controls, and close activities • Support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to implement scalable processes • Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Operations, Revenue Accounting, FP&A, and Finance teams on new initiatives • Research accounting impacts of operational and commercial decisions • Bridge technical accounting requirements with practical business execution

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience • Public accounting experience required • Strong preference for Big Four experience (PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG) • Experience supporting audits, financial reporting, and corporate accounting functions • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP • Experience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analyses • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA preferred • Experience in a high-growth, private equity-backed, technology, logistics, eCommerce, or service-based business is a plus • Prior exposure to technical accounting research and memorandum preparation • Experience with lease accounting (ASC 842), stock compensation, debt accounting, or revenue recognition • Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Business Central, or other automation tools • Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies • Must be eligible to work in the United States • Cart.com does not intend to hire candidates who require current or future sponsorship through non-immigrant visa categories such as H-1B, H-1B1, E-3, O-1, or TN
