Beschreibung

• Design, build, and maintain features across the loan origination platform, from application intake and decisioning logic through servicing and collections workflows • Build and maintain internal operational tooling for managing loans, configuring programs, running reports, and responding to school and borrower needs • Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical design discussions • Apply AI-assisted development techniques for code generation, test writing, refactoring, and documentation • Collaborate with compliance and legal to implement TILA, ECOA, fair lending, and state licensing requirements • Develop and instrument data pipelines with the data team for credit modeling, compliance reporting, and school-facing portfolio analytics • Engage occasionally with school and university technical stakeholders about integration needs and platform reliability • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, high standards, and direct, low-ego feedback • Report to the Engineering Director, Lending and work with teammates and stakeholders to build a resilient, highly available, compliant lending workbench

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalence • Strong fluency in Python, TypeScript and/or JavaScript; ability to write clean, maintainable code in both and know when to use each • Experience building operational and/or internal tooling for fintech, lending, or another regulated domain • Genuine use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude as a force multiplier • Familiarity with Django or a comparable Python web framework and React • Hands-on experience with cloud/serverless infrastructure such as AWS Lambda or GCP Cloud Functions, and modern deployment practices • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Commitment to technology that expands access to education and economic mobility • Prior exposure to fintech, payments, banking, or financial services is advantageous • Experience designing and building reliable, observable, and correct data pipelines, ETL workflows, or event-driven systems is advantageous • Familiarity with TILA, ECOA, or state lending regulations is advantageous • Prior startup experience is advantageous • Experience integrating with loan servicers, payment processors, or financial data providers is advantageous • Must not require current or future visa sponsorship to work legally in the United States • Remote work limited to ET & CT time zones
