Beschreibung

• Assist with the creation and implementation of Defense export control process, work instructions and control plans. • Collaborate with and maintain effective relationships with other groups at CMU such as the Center for Technology Transfer and Enterprise Creation (CTTEC) and the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). • Communicate export control plans and policies to project staff • Generate documentation for self-assessment of classification. • Lead the development of effective policies and procedures to enhance export control compliance. • Prepare and file for export licenses and/or commodities jurisdiction. • Preparing documentation for shipping hardware and/or exporting software and technical data. • Provides education for members of the research community regarding export control compliance. • Review export control cases for projects (hardware, software and technical data) and provides a clear path forward to stakeholders. • Screen potential sponsors, contractors and visitors for restricted party compliance. • Support agreement negotiation for export control language and compliance. • Train new researchers, employees and project staff with respect to export policies and regulations. • Work with the IT department to develop and implement appropriate policies.

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master's Degree is desirable • 3-5 years of experience in Export compliance and/or international trade frameworks • Experience with international export compliance, US Export Administration Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or other trade frameworks • Experience conducting audits and trainings for staff on export regulations • Experience advising on licensing, documentation and international shipments • Certified Export Compliance Professional certification (CECP) is preferred but not required • A combination of education and meaningful experience from which comparable knowledge is proven may be considered. • Successful background check
