Beschreibung

• Own the architecture of the team's domain end to end, including services, data flows, integrations, and failure modes • Design scalable products and services supporting iterative, autonomous development • Lead modernization work involving PHP monolith strangler patterns and Java-to-TypeScript service replacements • Build understanding of adjacent systems including grading, marketplace, CRM, payments, identity, and data/ETL • Set standards for security, testing, observability, and operational excellence • Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering by establishing standards, guardrails, workflows, and impact measurement • Lead projects of moderate scope and complexity across one to two quarters • Coordinate engineers, stakeholders, and dependencies toward predictable delivery • Plan and prioritize using a value-versus-cost framework • Identify and communicate blockers and delays before they become surprises • Foster knowledge sharing and documentation with engineering and business stakeholders • Build relationships across the organization • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, pairing, and feedback • Raise organizational AI fluency by sharing workflows, prompts, and agent configurations and coaching engineers

🎯 Anforderungen

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including demonstrated technical leadership of multi-engineer, multi-quarter projects • Expert-level backend engineering in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Java • Effective across TypeScript, Java 21, PHP, Python, and C# • Hands-on production experience across React/Next.js frontends, API and service layers, relational data stores, and infrastructure • Proven experience modernizing legacy systems under live traffic • Deep PostgreSQL and MySQL expertise, including data modeling, migrations, and performance • Strong distributed-systems fundamentals: REST, GraphQL, gRPC, SQS, idempotency, and failure handling • Production AWS expertise in ECS, Lambda, networking, and IAM • Infrastructure-as-code fluency with AWS CDK and/or Terraform • Experience raising engineering standards through testing, observability, documentation, and incident response • Daily fluency with AI coding assistants and agentic tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor • Experience integrating AI tools into CI, code review, and documentation workflows • Mature judgment regarding verification, security, and limitations of AI-generated code • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences • Experience with frontend architecture at scale or React Native/Expo is nice to have • Experience with e-commerce, marketplace, payments, or high-traffic consumer platforms is nice to have • Data platform or applied ML experience is nice to have • Experience building and responsibly deploying LLM-powered features or platforms is nice to have • Interest in sports cards, gaming, or collectibles is nice to have • Ability to work legally in the United States; employment eligibility validated through e-Verify
