Beschreibung

• Own complex, loosely defined projects from initial design through production • Lead projects spanning multiple engineering teams • Build backend services, APIs, and data models for internal grading and authentication applications • Work across containerized .NET applications, serverless APIs, and Python background-processing jobs • Select appropriate architectures for new work • Design and implement reliable event-driven and asynchronous systems for high-volume operational data • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and problem-solving practices • Contribute to frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Vue.js • Collaborate with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical designs • Troubleshoot data, integration, service, and UI issues across a large codebase • Participate in an on-call rotation supporting owned services • Write design documents and technical decision records

🎯 Anforderungen

• 8+ years of software engineering experience building production applications • Deep experience in backend systems and some hands-on experience delivering frontend work • 5+ years of experience / strong proficiency in C# and .NET • Routine use of AI tooling in software design and development, with judgment to review and take responsibility for its output • Track record of delivering projects with unclear requirements and non-obvious designs • History of mentoring strong engineers and improving team design and development practices • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and service integrations • Sound judgment about module boundaries, service decomposition, and architectural decisions • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests for production services • Strong fundamentals with relational databases and data modeling, including SQL Server or PostgreSQL • Hands-on experience building and operating production cloud services • Experience with container orchestration such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS • Experience with serverless compute behind an API gateway • Experience with managed messaging and data stores • Comfortable working in a modern frontend codebase with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and a component-based framework • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch or Datadog • Experience translating complex Product and Operations requirements into clean, extensible systems • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Experience with asynchronous, event-driven, and distributed systems, including systems operating across regions (nice to have) • Experience with AWS, Python, Apache Kafka, DynamoDB, or Vue.js (nice to have) • Experience partnering closely with Product and working directly with operations and business teams (nice to have) • Experience optimizing high-volume workflows (nice to have) • Ability to work legally in the United States, validated through e-Verify
