Connections Academy ist ein kostenloses, akkreditiertes Online-Öffentliches Schulprogramm von K–12, das von Connections Education (einer Pearson-Division) betrieben wird. Es bietet einen staatlich abgestimmten Lehrplan und virtuelle Klassenzimmererfahrungen mit zertifizierten Lehrern, personalisiertem Lernen und Unterstützung für Familien, die als Lerncoaches fungieren. Das Programm bietet jahrgangsstufenbezogene Kurse, Hochschul- und Berufsvorbereitung, Clubs und soziale Möglichkeiten sowie technischen Support in mehreren US-Bundesstaaten.

Beschreibung

• Provide small-group and one-on-one virtual reading intervention sessions focused on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension • Administer and use diagnostic assessments, including Renaissance Star, Oral Reading Fluency, and Core Phonics Screeners, to identify student needs • Develop and implement individualized learning goals and monitor progress regularly • Collect and analyze student data to measure progress toward goals • Maintain accurate intervention, student performance, and communication records • Use online tools such as IXL and digital reading platforms to supplement instruction and reinforce skills • Report outcomes to administrators and contribute to schoolwide literacy improvement efforts • Partner with classroom teachers, special education staff, and administrators to align intervention strategies with core instruction • Participate in grade-level team meetings to review student performance and determine next steps • Communicate with families about progress, provide at-home reading practice resources, and build partnerships • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Highly qualified and certified to teach in Kansas • K-8 certification preferred • Experience with early literacy and intervention preferred • Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Highly organized and punctual • Student- and family-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Track record as a team player • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds • Ability to work remotely while traveling occasionally for in-person meetings and testing • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
