Beschreibung

• Contribute to the milk sourcing strategy as an active member of the internal milk sourcing team • Recruit and onboard new direct milk producers for Organic, Conventional, and NGMO milk based on regional and milk-type needs • Foster producer relationships and serve as a farm liaison on animal welfare, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility initiatives • Identify and cultivate prospective farmers meeting direct milk supply criteria • Preserve existing organic dairy farms and support growth and transitions from conventional to organic systems • Support technical assistance programs improving farm profitability and sustainability, including third-party provider coordination • Manage program administration, vendors, spending, and key performance indicators • Provide leadership with progress updates on recruitment, program development, and implementation across business units • Coordinate with procurement operations when routes and delivery times change • Serve as subject matter expert on farm-level food safety and quality compliance • Support PR, Marketing, and Communications with direct-supply farm promotion, on-farm tours, and virtual events • Lead animal care and carbon-footprint-reduction initiatives with the CSR team • Apply dairy cattle nutrition knowledge to develop feed-efficiency and milk-productivity programs and recommendations

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; or equivalent experience including a minimum of five (5) years job-related experience • 3+ years related industry experience required • Experience working on or with farms highly preferred • Experience in the food or dairy industry a plus • Agricultural studies or animal science majors preferred • Knowledge of dairy cattle nutrition • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop, successful conventional-to-organic dairy transition practices • Obtain F.A.R.M. evaluator certification across Animal Welfare, Environmental Stewardship (FARM ES), and Workforce Development • Complete Cow Signals certification • Knowledge of food safety and quality, including Bulk Tank Unit Federal and State PMO Ratings, the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO), plant protocols, and departmental procedures • Ability to work extended hours as project needs require • Ability to travel occasionally to company offices or outside the assigned territory • Commitment to a safe working environment
