Beschreibung

• Own the transformation layer between raw data and business decisions • Model company data in dbt • Define certified metrics used across the company • Set standards for analysts and data scientists • Drive implementation of a world-class metric layer, including modelling conventions, project structure, testing, CI, and documentation • Design and maintain the certified KPI layer for product, finance, and company-wide topics • Build KPI models robust enough to withstand audit scrutiny • Partner with Data Engineering on evolving the data warehouse architecture • Partner with stakeholders to turn ambiguous questions into trusted, reusable data products • Serve data through AI agents where applicable

🎯 Anforderungen

• Demonstrated experience building and scaling a dbt project and metrics layer, ideally as one of the first analytics engineers on a growing team • Expert knowledge of dbt and advanced SQL • Strong grasp of dimensional modelling, grain, and incremental patterns • Proficiency with BigQuery or a similar data warehouse • Proficiency with Python • Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker • Rigour around data quality, including testing, documentation, and reconciliation • Ability to understand varied stakeholder requirements, push back where needed, and translate them into generalised, well-documented models • Ability to operate in CET / ET timezones • Required experience with dbt project and metrics layer implementation • Bonus: experience modelling billing, subscription and ARR data using Stripe or Salesforce • Bonus: experience modelling product event data at scale • Bonus: experience serving data to LLM-based agents or building semantic / metrics layers consumed by AI tools • Bonus: experience with Slim CI, data contracts, PII policy tags, and infrastructure-as-code for warehouse access
