Beschreibung

• Design and develop backend services supporting residential battery programs • Maintain a strong security posture across infrastructure • Build and maintain features across the battery solution • Develop and maintain the client-facing REST API and backend logic powering it • Build integrations with distributed internal services • Ensure security and data-protection policies, procedures, and monitoring are in place • Collaborate with product and engineering to improve requirements and software quality • Enable new API features and help teams build on utility client data • Drive and embody the “Dev Owns Quality” culture • Write and maintain technical documentation • Perform other duties as assigned • Partner with engineers, product teams, battery providers, OEMs, and other teams on highly visible projects

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Experience with the Java/Spring ecosystem • Expertise in RESTful web APIs, especially those targeting external clients • Strong software design skills • Familiarity with relational database fundamentals, especially PostgreSQL • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance multiple use cases • Knowledge of modern security best practices, authentication/authorization frameworks, and system/API hardening • Knowledge of development best practices including automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively • New applicant employment-authorization sponsorship or other immigration-related support is unavailable • Preferred: Experience with Python • Preferred: Experience with AWS or other cloud providers • Preferred: Experience with microservice architectures and event-driven messaging systems • Preferred: Experience with React and other web technologies • Preferred: Experience with protocol buffers and gRPC • Preferred: Experience with containerized systems • Preferred: Experience with MongoDB
