Beschreibung

• Maintain and refine the general ledger structure and chart of accounts with Strategic Projects • Lead legal entity accounting, consolidation, and intercompany processes across reporting bases • Oversee FX translations, cash flow statements, and related-party accounting • Oversee account hierarchy development and policy-aligned journal entry execution • Prepare SUM and support the SAB 99 process with Financial Reporting and Financial Controls • Develop and maintain control procedures, reconciliations, and related controls • Support new transactions, debt issuances, and evolving business needs with accurate financial reports • Oversee operational accounting activities including R2R, accounts payable, accounts receivable, T&E, TPA, corporate expenses, debt, and cash • Manage quarterly ledger feeds, new account setups, and legal entity allocations • Lead development and submission of Sidecar accounting packages • Monitor accounting policy alignment across operational entries • Coordinate approvals and work with Treasury to settle intercompany balances monthly • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and standardize processes • Monitor Prudential and Heritage ledger feed execution and new account setup processes • Evaluate and implement financial systems, technologies, and AI tools • Drive process standardization and documentation for consistency and compliance • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and audit readiness • Lead and mentor accounting professionals and foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture • Promote continuous improvement, automation, and accountability • Report to the Insurance & Group Controller

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • CPA or CA preferred • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role • Public accounting experience preferred • Thorough knowledge of Life & Annuity (re)insurance accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, US STAT, SFS, and EBS accounting rules and requirements • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems such as SAP and Workday, and AI tools such as Foundry and Claude • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint • Experience with audits, walkthroughs, and control enhancement • External vendor oversight • Automation, AI, and systems implementation experience preferred • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities • High integrity and dependability
