Beschreibung

• Review clients’ current mainframe and mid-range system architecture, including interfaces, data models, and batch processing frameworks • Conduct continuous operational analysis of client business processes • Propose future-state business processes and architectural solutions using industry best practices • Lead implementation of modern technical solutions and support design and solutioning activities • Use advanced mapping tools and software architectural analysis methods to enhance user experience • Collaborate with the client’s financial agent to develop business workstreams • Produce technical drawings, detailed designs, and proof-of-concept solutions • Communicate requirements to financial agent oversight and development teams for agile story creation • Coordinate with partner organizations and development teams to align workflows with federal financial, security, and compliance requirements • Map and present business workflows using Microsoft Visio or industry-standard tools • Develop strategies to migrate legacy mainframe applications to modern server and cloud environments • Provide architecture-level recommendations for integration, performance optimization, and data migration • Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture diagrams • Contribute to modernization roadmaps and data migration plans • Lead development teams in applying modern design patterns, cloud-native principles, and DevSecOps practices • Support testing, validation, and deployment of new and reengineered applications • Contribute to winning proposals and implement cloud-based solutions

🎯 Anforderungen

• 10+ years of related experience • 10 years of experience in enterprise application architecture, systems design, and implementation • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • Familiarity with mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM • Proven experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Postgres, Tomcat/WebLogic, and Linux • Hands-on experience modernizing or migrating legacy mainframe applications to distributed or cloud-based systems • Strong understanding of system integration, data migration, and application interoperability between legacy and modern platforms • Experience applying mapping tools to design cloud-based solutions involving complex applications, databases, and interfaces • Proven track record developing modernization strategies for hybrid environments combining mainframes with custom applications from multiple vendors • Ability to relate mapping experience and tools used during the interview and demonstrate skills and experience • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills • US Person; US citizenship is not required • Less than 10% travel required
