Beschreibung

• Assist the System Engineer with developing the program’s system architecture and technical approach • Perform thermal and controls analysis, testing, and test analysis for system model correlation and performance requirements compliance assessment • Identify and manage program technical risks related to thermal performance • Serve as technical lead for modeling and analysis • Define measurable and attainable objectives and coordinate modeling and analysis activities with engineering functional groups • Work with the Systems Engineer and Program Manager to execute modeling, analysis, and testing development • Manage thermal and performance technical requirements • Assist with requirements traceability, decomposition, derivation, verification, and validation • Allocate and decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specifications for internal groups, components, and suppliers • Research and recommend improvements to technology, methodologies, toolsets, procedures, equipment, and systems • Communicate and collaborate with customers and suppliers during design development • Review and approve documentation for transition from prototype to production • Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and diagnose non-performing products • Perform root-cause corrective action analysis and capture lessons learned • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and 8–10 years of relevant experience • Relevant advanced degrees, including an MS or PhD, may satisfy a portion of the industry experience requirement • Working knowledge of aerospace technical disciplines, including requirements management, technical verification and validation, mechanical design, materials, modeling/documentation, structural analysis, electrical systems, system controls, embedded controls, development testing and analysis, and qualification analysis and testing • Deep expertise in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer • Experience with thermal fluid systems analysis and modeling • Understanding of nonlinear, gradient and gradient-free numerical iterative solvers and optimization techniques • Familiarity with aerospace requirements management methodologies and processes • Functional understanding of major aircraft systems, including environmental control systems, powerplant, electrical, hydraulics, controls, avionics, power generation, and structures • Experience with Vapor Cycle Systems, Liquid Cooling Systems, and/or Air Cycle Systems • Modeling experience with standard components in VCS, LCS, and ACS • Familiarity with environmental testing and qualification methods such as MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 • Basic CAD experience in NX • Deep coding/scripting experience, preferably MATLAB/Simulink or Python • Expertise building, using, correlating, and maintaining steady-state and dynamic system models and architecting high-level controls • Strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Must be able to prove U.S. Person status for access to U.S. export-controlled information
