Beschreibung

• Build high-performance, low-maintenance, zero-downtime platforms and applications • Help drive GEICO's insurance business transformation and platform engineering modernization • Work with Distinguished and Staff Engineers to innovate, build new systems, and improve existing systems • Identify opportunities to apply technical knowledge to solve critical problems • Lead the strategy and execution of a technical roadmap to increase product delivery velocity and unlock engineering capabilities • Collaborate with product managers, internal and external business partners, peers, and engineering teams to solve complex problems in the partner integration platform • Contribute to and execute software development strategy for platform components • Champion software development best practices and safe deployment processes • Write feature code and automated tests, raise and review pull requests, develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, and provide production support • Act as a technical project lead and collaborate with partner teams and cross-discipline stakeholders • Leverage data to measure success, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions

🎯 Anforderungen

• Advanced knowledge of at least one modern OOP language; Go preferred and .NET a plus • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly scalable, available, and reliable production systems • Strong Test-Driven Development practices, including unit, functional, integration, and load testing • In-depth knowledge of computer science data structures and algorithms • Understanding of security best practices, including certificates and encryption • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and Redis • Experience architecting, designing, and building automation, workflows, and distributed applications • Strong understanding of service integrations and communication standards such as gRPC and RESTful • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD with IaC • Experience solving complex problems with a quantitative approach • Knowledge of development tools across the software development life cycle • Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and best practices in a Kubernetes environment, including operators • Experience with open-source tools such as Git, Jenkins, and CircleCI; Terraform/Ansible knowledge is a plus • Experience supporting high-volume production workloads and managing incidents • Excellent communication skills • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment • 4+ years of professional experience in software development • 3+ years of experience with architecture and design • 3+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or hybrid data centers • 2+ years of experience with open-source frameworks • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience • GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position
