Beschreibung

• Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of AC power substation projects • Perform physical substation design and apply and specify substation equipment • Lead and coordinate the entire substation design and the multi-discipline technical project team and contractors • Serve as primary technical lead for scheduling, standards and specifications compliance, value engineering, design review planning, engineering-hours budgets, and quality assurance and control • Develop and oversee power single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, arrangement drawings, grounding and conduit/trench layouts, cable routing, detail drawings, control-building layouts, high-voltage arrangements, bills of materials, studies, and calculations • Act as the single point of contact for technical matters between customers, vendors, project managers, and engineering teams • Direct and support engineers and designers to meet technical specifications, budgets, and timelines • Drive cross-discipline coordination to deliver integrated substation solutions • Review and contribute to inquiry-to-order deliverables, conceptual engineering, proposal documentation, sourcing support, vendor quotation evaluations, and technical clarifications • Prepare high-voltage equipment specifications and contractor work scopes • Support vendor engagement, equipment selection, commissioning, and customer-stakeholder interface efforts • Assist the manager with team productivity and billable utilization • Ensure engineering outputs meet customer critical-to-quality requirements and are delivered on time and within budget

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university • Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial or utility HV/EHV substation design • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including internationally • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the U.S. in good standing, with ability to get licensure in other states • Experience with North American electric utility substation design standards • Expertise in transmission and distribution substation engineering, primary outdoor substation design, calculations, and electrical protection • Experience with industrial power system design at 12.5 kV and above • Proficiency in battery sizing, DC system design, AC auxiliary power, power transformer and circuit breaker selection, conductor sizing, grounding, lightning protection, and insulation coordination • Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NEC, and NESC standards • Field-testing and commissioning experience with strong emphasis on safety • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills • Customer-facing communication and commercial awareness, including change orders and project delivery • Proficiency in AutoCAD/MicroStation and design automation tools • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
