Beschreibung

• Provide post-sales technical and operational support for HPE Network Products • Work daily with the customer remotely or at the customer’s location • Support network issues, ongoing certification, and testing efforts • Understand the customer’s organizational structure and network implementation and support processes • Conduct network information-gathering workshops and understand technical requirements for new network designs • Test new tools, features, functionality, patches, and fixes in laboratory and pre-production environments • Develop implementation and verification plans for live network deployments • Hold technology workshops to discuss equipment and network problems and provide case status updates • Support design and planning of Juniper MX, QFX, EX series, and associated solutions • Define best-practice policies for Juniper/HPE product applications • Collaborate with other Resident Engineers and share lessons learned to minimize upgrade and network-change risks • Develop secondary skills in other HPE product portfolio offerings • Communicate with internal JTAC, escalation, engineering teams, and the customer • Provide occasional on-call weekend support and work longer hours when required

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience • 7 years’ experience providing implementation and technical support of networking products in LAN, WAN, or Internet services environments • Experience in a technology vendor or service provider environment • JNCIE/CCIE Service Provider or equivalent JUNOS CLI experience across MX, QFX, and EX series • Expert IP/routing experience with OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, IPv6, and routing policy • Knowledge of routing protocol operation, migration, and scaling mechanisms • Experience with routing policies at BGP peering points • Knowledge of VPNs and tunneling technologies including MPLS, EVPN, L3VPN, and VPLS • Knowledge of Ethernet switching, 802.1Q, and QoS • Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Strong customer interface and presentation skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and work calmly under pressure • Familiarity with management tools and network analyzers • Understanding of protocols surrounding IP service-provider networks • Understanding of BGP and route-reflector topologies • Ability to communicate effectively and technically with internal JTAC, escalation, and engineering teams • Ability to communicate effectively with the customer • Cloud architecture experience • Programming and scripting experience preferred, including Python, Ruby, shell, awk, and SLAX • Scripting skills in SLAX, Python, and Ansible • Database experience is a plus
