Beschreibung

• Provide resilient and adaptable power system solutions using solar, energy storage, controls, reciprocating engines, and other distributed energy resources. • Understand client goals and constraints and lead solutions that achieve client objectives. • Work with switchgear, battery, inverter, generator, and other DER manufacturers to develop designs and solutions. • Design low- and medium-voltage installations up to 35kV, including higher-voltage interconnections. • Coordinate with interconnected utilities and complete interconnection applications. • Navigate legacy drawings, brownfield equipment, and incomplete information to develop plans, estimates, and designs. • Manage engineering subconsultants and construction partners. • Serve as Owner’s Engineer during development, design review, procurement, construction, commissioning, and interconnection. • Lead technical reviews of EPC and OEM deliverables for compliance with client standards and project performance requirements. • Support factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning, and performance validation activities.

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program with a focus on power. • Minimum of four years’ experience in the design and construction of distribution, generation, or storage projects. • Demonstrated Owner’s Engineering experience for PV and/or other power generation projects across multiple clients. • Experience in Distribution, Substation Protection & Control, or Substation Physical design. • Awareness of NEC, IEEE 1547, IEEE 386, and other relevant industry standards and regulations. • Ability to create and guide others in creating One Line Diagrams, Electrical Plans/Elevations, AC/DC Schematics, and related drawings. • Familiarity with factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning of power systems. • Technical understanding of DER technologies, including storage, micro nuclear reactors, solar generation, and conventional engine/turbine generators. • Familiarity with effective grounding, synchronization, distributed control, and remedial action schemes in microgrid environments. • Familiarity with DER interconnection regulatory frameworks such as CPUC Rule 21. • Experience submitting interconnection applications and reviewing utility studies, including Detailed, Facility, and System Impact Studies. • Collaboration with project managers, engineers, technicians, and regulators. • Professional Engineer license in power or active progress toward that license is favorable. • Master’s degree in a related field is favorable. • Experience with protection or arc flash studies using ASPEN, CAPE, CYME, ETAP, and/or SKM is favorable. • Experience with grounding or illumination studies using CDEGS and/or AutoLUX is favorable.
