Beschreibung

• Advise ambitious businesses on UK and European privacy law • Advise on UK data protection compliance, governance and risk • Support data subject rights requests, DPIAs and other compliance processes • Advise on international data transfers, ePrivacy, cookies and direct marketing • Draft and negotiate data processing and data-sharing agreements • Advise on AI and emerging technology issues • Support data breach response, incident management and engagement with regulators • Advise on EU GDPR and global privacy developments • Support clients handling special category or sensitive data across sectors • Provide data protection input on technology, commercial, corporate and employment matters • Lead matters and manage client relationships • Deliver pragmatic, commercially minded advice • Collaborate with commercial, technology, employment and corporate teams to provide joined-up advice • Contribute to the growth and continued success of Harper James

🎯 Anforderungen

• 10+ years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) • Strong experience advising on UK and European data protection law • Experience advising on UK data protection compliance, governance and risk • Experience supporting data subject rights requests, DPIAs and compliance processes • Experience advising on international data transfers, ePrivacy, cookies and direct marketing • Experience drafting and negotiating data processing and data-sharing agreements • Experience advising on AI and emerging technology issues • Experience supporting data breach response, incident management and regulator engagement • Awareness of EU GDPR and global privacy developments • Ability to support clients handling special category or sensitive data • Strong drafting and negotiation skills • Ability to explain complex legal and technical issues clearly and practically • Ability to lead matters and manage client relationships • Ability to work collaboratively with commercial, technology, employment and corporate teams • Quick learner able to adapt to new systems and technologies • Willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook • Ability to use SharePoint to manage and collaborate on projects • Keen attention to detail when drafting documents • Solicitor qualification implied by the required Senior Solicitor role and post-qualification experience
