Beschreibung

• Provide technical support for Aviation Environmental Control Systems to the Army Maneuver Air Directorate and Propulsion Branch • Review test plans, test reports, and analyses for specification and qualification compliance • Review quality escapes and Manufacturing Review Boards and document airworthiness concerns • Recommend requirements coverage, success criteria, risks, corrective actions, and improvements for test plans and reports • Support test witnessing, test-result evaluation, post-test inspections, and hardware condition and performance recommendations • Review technical changes to manuals and maintenance procedures • Participate in program and design reviews and technical meetings • Support failure investigations and procedure validations/verifications • Provide technical and project engineering support for Environmental Control improvements under the Component Improvement Program • Support depot and repair activities, Maintenance and Overhaul plan and hardware repair reviews, and Product Verification Audits • Support alternate source evaluations, intercept actions, and Defense Logistics Agency engineering requests • Provide technical support for Condition Based Maintenance and Cost Wise Readiness activities • Provide technical input on Foreign Military Sales support • Document processes and methodologies for Environmental Control System design and airworthiness qualification • Generate memorandums, briefings, recommendations, and analyses for Government use • Perform thermal, risk, reliability, data reduction, and performance analyses and recommend corrective actions • Provide engineering support for Environmental Control Systems on helicopters, unmanned air vehicles, and fixed-wing platforms

🎯 Anforderungen

• 15 years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field, 13 years with a master's degree, 10 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate, or high school diploma/equivalent with 19 years relevant experience • Preferred: 18 years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 16 years with a master's degree, or 14 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate • Ability to document Environmental Control System design and airworthiness qualification processes and methodologies • Ability to generate memorandums and briefings using MS Word and PowerPoint • Ability to perform data reduction and analysis to evaluate Environmental Control and component performance • Ability to provide written recommendations concerning Environmental Control System serviceability and airworthiness requirements • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and parts lists • Ability to write clear and concise memorandums • Engineering support experience with helicopters, unmanned air vehicles, and fixed-wing platforms • Documented working knowledge of thermal analyses • Experience using or developing software tools for steady-state and transient thermodynamic design and analysis • Experience with heating, cooling, and dehumidification calculations for air, water, hydraulic fluid, gas, vapor, and steam systems • Documented experience performing risk analysis, reliability analysis, data reduction, and performance analysis • Must be a US Citizen • Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time • Preferred working knowledge of DoD software programs including PDREP, TAMMS-A/MCDS, SRD Task Tracking System, and ETMs/IETMs • Preferred experience conducting Fault Tree Analysis • Experience or knowledge writing and reviewing Aeronautical Design Specifications such as ADS-50 and AMACC is a plus • Knowledge of MIL-STD-810 Environmental Testing requirements • Experience writing and reviewing AWIS, SSRAs, System Safety Management Plans, FMECA/FEMA, and Safety Design Requirements Definition • Preferred education/experience combinations include Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 25 years, Master of Science in Engineering with 23 years, or PhD in Engineering with 21 years • May require working in office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environments • Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances
