Beschreibung

• Plan, develop, and implement environmental strategies and policies throughout the organization for multiple manufacturing sites • Establish compliance schedules and work with Operational Leadership to ensure compliance with permitting, testing requirements, and reporting • Serve as subject matter expert on permit requirements and environmental subjects across a nationwide footprint of manufacturing facilities • Lead corrective action plans addressing compliance issues or deficiencies • Support manufacturing sites as the main point of contact and liaison between external advisers and regulatory agencies • Coordinate or attend public hearings, conferences, and environmental events • Develop local relationships to assist with environmental matters • Monitor environmental events and legislation impacting the business • Travel to manufacturing sites for inspections and on-site testing • Evaluate and adjust environmental strategies • Learn and apply environmental control and source equipment and processes to support compliance, improvements, and capital expenditure decisions • Educate leaders on environmental compliance and develop training • Support environmental assessments and integration for strategic mergers and acquisitions • Raise awareness of internal environmental issues, including communication with executive leadership • Help set operations priorities and ensure environmental considerations are included in daily execution, projects, and long-term strategy • Influence and lead without direct authority

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field preferred • Related environmental program and compliance experience (Air, Stormwater, etc), preferably in a manufacturing environment • Paper and/or wood (biomass) industry experience is a plus • Rotary drying equipment experience is a plus, plus • Understanding / Experience with emission control process and technology (cyclones, scrubbers, multi-clones and wet electrostatic precipitators, etc.) for various burner combustion equipment – biomass, natural gas • Highly analytical and forward thinking • Resourcefulness and strategic thinking • Exceptional communication and motivational skills • High level of technical and analytical skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to travel to manufacturing sites; travel requirements are 50%
