Beschreibung

• Own end-to-end construction execution for 3–8 simultaneous utility-scale solar and BESS projects, from mobilization through COD • Drive on-time, on-budget project delivery against contracted schedules, approved cost baselines, and quality standards • Deploy and manage embedded project management teams and field construction managers at active project sites • Implement standardized project controls, reporting cadences, and escalation protocols across the portfolio • Maintain a portfolio-level construction dashboard for COO visibility into schedule, cost, safety, and quality • Hold EPC contractors accountable for milestone schedules, performance guarantees, quality standards, and safety requirements • Manage construction-phase change orders, including scope, schedule, cost impact assessment, negotiation, and escalation • Assess EPC performance deficiencies and drive remediation plans with Legal and the COO • Manage subcontractor approvals, interface coordination, and performance oversight • Lead root cause analyses and share lessons learned to improve safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance • Lead weekly and monthly construction progress reviews, including earned value, cost-to-complete, and schedule recovery plans • Own the construction HSE program and site safety standards • Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs • Ensure environmental permit, NPDES/stormwater, and agency commitment compliance • Conduct site visits and safety audits; lead incident investigations and corrective action tracking • Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, performance testing, acceptance testing, and punch list closeout • Coordinate COD achievement with interconnection authorities, offtakers, and project finance teams • Execute documented COD handoffs to Asset Management, including as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and punch list items • Maintain cost tracking, invoice review, forecasts-to-complete, critical path analysis, contingency drawdowns, and budget variance reporting • Coordinate construction draw requisition packages and lender construction monitoring processes • Interface with utilities, transmission owners, and ISOs on interconnection, outages, and energization • Coordinate with local authorities, land agents, and community stakeholders • Provide construction status reporting to the COO, lenders, independent engineers, and tax equity partners

🎯 Anforderungen

• 12+ years of progressive project management and construction leadership in utility-scale power generation or renewable energy • 5+ years in a senior construction leadership role managing multi-project portfolios at 500 MW+ annual scale • Demonstrated track record delivering utility-scale solar PV projects of 100 MW or larger from NTP through COD • Extensive experience administering EPC contracts during active construction, including change order management, performance enforcement, and claims avoidance • Deep understanding of utility-scale solar PV and BESS construction sequencing, civil and electrical scopes, and commissioning processes • Proficiency in construction project controls, Primavera P6 / MS Project scheduling, earned value management, and cost forecasting • Working knowledge of interconnection construction milestones, utility coordination requirements, and energization processes • Familiarity with OSHA construction safety standards, environmental compliance requirements, and incident management protocols • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field required • PMP certification strongly preferred • Battery energy storage system construction and commissioning experience preferred • Experience across multiple ISO/RTO markets (ERCOT, CAISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, etc.) preferred • Experience managing lender construction monitoring processes, independent engineer site visits, and draw requisition packages preferred • Six Sigma or Lean Construction certification preferred • Background working in both EPC contractor and project owner roles preferred • Willingness/ability to travel 25–50% of time to domestic locations • Decisive field leadership and credibility with large EPC organizations • Strong contract administration skills • Excellent multi-project management skills • Ability to collaborate with Pre-Construction, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Asset Management • Exceptional executive-level communication skills
