Beschreibung

• Take full accountability for the success and adoption metrics of hardware products and define their integration into the broader hardware-software ecosystem • Predict 1–3 year technology shifts, initiate de-risking projects, and distill market dynamics into a clear portfolio direction • Design field-ready, software-extensible platforms accounting for ruggedization, long refresh cycles, and frictionless installation • Build business cases and manage the hardware lifecycle from concept and development through launch and end-of-life • Establish ongoing internal and external discovery to validate assumptions and identify opportunities in edge AI, compute, and sensing • Drive architecture and platform investment decisions based on performance constraints, supply chain exposure, industry standards, and P&L goals • Align Engineering, Operations, and Go-To-Market teams on unified release plans across agile software and waterfall hardware development • Engage with industry standards bodies and working groups and represent the device platform strategy externally • Report directly to the Product Director of Hardware

🎯 Anforderungen

• Advanced product management experience • Experience thriving in autonomy and ambiguity • Ability to manage up and sideways and strategically say no • Systems-level understanding of sensors, edge compute, firmware, and cloud software • Proven track record designing products for rugged, outdoor, or industrial environments • Deep understanding of environmental ratings, physical UI, installation UX, and hardware longevity • User-focused product discovery using multi-modal data • Strong business acumen, including COGS, margins, hardware unit economics, engineering goals, and corporate sales goals • Understanding of government agency, municipality, and enterprise procurement of infrastructure hardware • Ability to navigate long sales cycles and tight procurement constraints • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
