Beschreibung

• Conduct independent investigations of discrimination cases within the State of Florida • Gather and accurately record information through interviews and correspondence with investigation parties • Conduct research and collect facts concerning assigned complaints • Analyze evidence and supporting documentation • Prepare accurate, comprehensive investigative reports within statutory timeframes • Testify and appear before Commission panels, in civil court proceedings, and at administrative hearings • Provide investigative findings and recommendations supporting legally sound determinations and compliance with civil rights laws

🎯 Anforderungen

• Knowledge of basic investigation techniques, rules of evidence, court procedures and requirements • Skilled in using logic and reasoning • Skilled in utilizing active listening techniques • Ability to conduct fact-finding interviews and take statements • Ability to use deductive reasoning • Ability to analyze information and determine its validity • Ability to write accurate investigation reports and present detailed verbal presentations • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality • Ability to make independent decisions • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships • Five years of experience in legal or paralegal work, investigative work, human relations, human resources, regulatory inspections, social work, personnel, education, counseling, affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, or juvenile/adult criminal justice work; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree and one year of such experience • Successful Level Two background screening, including fingerprinting, required as a condition of employment • Male applicants born on or after October 1, 1962, must satisfy Selective Service registration or exemption requirements
