Beschreibung

• Ship customer-facing features behind feature flags in small, reviewed pull requests • Improve existing code by decomposing oversized services, adding tests, and migrating backend code toward Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x • Build component and integration tests as part of everyday feature work • Make repositories AI-ready through context files, custom commands, and safe agent-work patterns • Collaborate across pod boundaries in a mostly shared codebase • Participate in code reviews, pod ceremonies, and estimation • Collaborate with the Quality Assistance team to build end-to-end tests • Investigate and fix production issues within the pod’s area • Document learnings and decisions • Mentor mid-level engineers and develop toward pod-lead responsibilities • Participate in hiring processes through interview panels • Work on a luxury retail client’s e-commerce platform, online storefronts, and ERP integrations • Help modernize the platform and accelerate software delivery

🎯 Anforderungen

• 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience, genuinely full-stack • Strong Java and Spring Boot, including JPA/Hibernate • Experience with database migrations (Flyway or similar) • Relational data modeling • Strong React and TypeScript with modern Next.js, including App Router, Server Components, and current data-fetching patterns • Solid PostgreSQL • Experience modernizing or maintaining a large existing production codebase • Full ownership of delivered work, including unit, integration, and E2E testing • Trunk-based development, small frequent PRs, feature flags, and respect for module boundaries • Fluency with AI-assisted, agentic development, including Claude Code, context engineering, AI code review, and test generation • Good security hygiene, including secure input handling and reviewed PRs and CI • Solid REST API design and third-party service integration experience • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices • Proactive communication and documentation • Excellent spoken and written English • Significant US Eastern Time overlap • Legal work authorization in the country of residence
