Beschreibung

• Design services and take ownership of underlying cloud infrastructure for physics-informed and data-driven scientific workflows • Design novel algorithms and engage with operations to increase overall system performance across the stack • Work with application code, including deep learning frameworks, numerical solvers, microservices, APIs, and heterogeneous CPU/GPU computing • Design, build, deploy, and operate scalable I/O infrastructure for checkpointing, data loading, and pre- and post-processing of data • Optimize compute, storage, and network architecture for physics- and simulation-driven applications • Build scientific computing platform workflows on the cloud for numerical simulation solvers, AI training, inference, and visualization • Support applications including weather prediction, climate modeling, industrial design, and digital twin simulation across multiple domains

🎯 Anforderungen

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related areas or equivalent experience • 10+ years experience working on building and operating distributed compute and data intensive platform as a service on cloud • Proven skill in a compiled language (Go, Rust, C++ or otherwise) • Strong foundational knowledge in Cloud Computing, including datacenter architecture, cloud security architecture, virtualization, resource pooling, and elasticity • Proven skills in Distributed Systems and Parallel Processing, including distributed computation models, synchronization, deadlock detection, fault tolerance, consensus protocols, parallel algorithms, shared and distributed memory architecture, message passing (MPI, NCCL), cluster scalability, and performance • Hands-on debugging skills with processes, threads, deadlock and synchronization, scheduling, IPC, memory management, file systems, and I/O structure • Strong algorithmic thinking and system design skills, including recursion, graphs, trees, stacks, queues, and large-scale loosely coupled distributed system design and operations • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with multiple teams with minimal direction • [Preferred/standout] Experience building, deploying, and operating AI platforms on HPC clusters and cloud-native systems • [Preferred/standout] Experience with distributed storage, scheduling, orchestration, and compute, storage, and network systems • [Preferred/standout] Experience configuring and troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, kernels, and compilers for maximum performance • [Preferred/standout] Hands-on debugging to optimize compute, networking, and I/O frameworks • [Preferred/standout] Experience debugging and customizing third-party source code
