Beschreibung

• Design, scale, and performance-tune GraphQL APIs, low-latency gRPC services, and SQL queries for sportsbook wagering and grading, casino transactions, financial ledgers, responsible gaming, tax and regulatory enforcement, promotions, and risk management • Own high-scope technical problems, draft proposals, and present them to leadership and partner teams • Design, architect, and deliver features end-to-end in an agile/scrum environment • Identify production bottlenecks and risks, and drive scalability improvements • Configure and refine Datadog monitoring and alerting • Mentor engineers through specifications, pairing, and code reviews • Collaborate with stakeholders across business domains to deliver products, operational improvements, and cost efficiencies • Bridge internal, third-party, legacy, and modern systems through data migrations, data translation, and supporting infrastructure • Support the performant, resilient, reliable, accurate platform underlying sportsbook wagering, casino wagering, financial recordkeeping, data residency, and regulatory enforcement

🎯 Anforderungen

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software engineering • Strong competencies in data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and software design • Experience identifying production improvements through load testing and tracing • Experience investigating and remediating CPU, I/O, memory, and latency regressions in high-throughput services • Experience with on-call rotations and owning release cycles end-to-end • Experience with modern web frameworks and API development, including Phoenix, Ruby on Rails, Fast API, Laravel, or Node • 2+ years of experience designing and evolving GraphQL schemas for iOS, Android, and Web clients • Experience building and integrating multi-client or white-label platforms, including geo-based routing and per-client configuration • Strong knowledge of relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MySQL, plus relational database theory • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments • Proficiency with terminal tools, Git, and GitHub or similar • Experience with testing frameworks such as ExUnit, RSpec, Jest, pytest, or equivalent • Experience with background job processing such as Oban, Exq, Sidekiq, Celery, or Beanstalk • Experience with asynchronous event handling infrastructure such as Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or Google Cloud Pub/Sub • Experience with agentic software development tools and workflows is a major asset • Experience building financial, legal, and/or process accounting systems with strong correctness and auditability • NICE TO HAVE: Elixir, hexagonal architecture, Domain Driven Development, open source contributions, startup experience, and passion for sports and/or esports
