Beschreibung

• Serve as the technical resource contact for the DI sales team in pre-sale development of opportunity scope, costing, and application while meeting client design intent • Remain involved with projects post-sale as a system technical resource within the project management team • Support DI turn-key, equipment-only, and one-off specialty project assignments • Provide accurate and effective Project Development Engineering support resulting in well-defined and awarded projects • Review specifications, drawings, and customer requests to determine project scope, schedule, risk, and technical delivery requirements • Work closely with sales staff, product engineering, and manufacturing leads to ensure shared project understanding • Assist sales in developing project scope, schedule, risk, and project information management • Support estimate and proposal development through effective internal communication • Participate in new product offering discussions and maintain awareness of industry product and technology trends • Understand PowerSecure product lines, business models, sales process, strategic goals, and project delivery requirements • Act as technical liaison for the Sales team • Participate in company training, industry/product training or certification classes, and marketing industry sector events • Perform post-sale engineering project management • Balance and prioritize multiple pre-sale and post-sale projects and ERP documentation tasks • Travel as necessary to client project, vendor, job site, and event locations • Develop and lead projects • Present and lead customer meetings • Specify and obtain accurate vendor quotes • Work in a professional office environment and occasionally browse projects on the shop floor

🎯 Anforderungen

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical degree • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as an electrical consultant, application/development engineer or related industry position • Strong CAD skills • Strong computer software skills • Electrical Engineering Skills will be subject to an assessment • Ability to develop concept drawing sets, including Electrical One-line Diagrams and Site Layouts • Strong Commercial and Industrial Electrical power systems knowledge, application analysis and estimating skills • Reciprocating engine and power distribution equipment design knowledge • Codes and Standards Interpretation and Application (NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEEE, etc.) • Power system modeling (fault, coordination, arc flash) in SKM a plus • Understanding of utility interconnect applications and management of the process • Strategic and analytical thinking skills • High attention to detail and process oriented • Excellent verbal, written, inter-personal communications and relationship skills • Ability to balance multiple projects and documentation requirements effectively • Effective prioritization and management of pre-sale and post-sale tasks within ERP system • Ability to read and communicate in English • Ability to develop and lead projects • Ability to present and lead customer meetings • Ability to specify and obtain accurate vendor quotes • Limited local travel required (less than 10%) • Must be able to work in an office environment with substantial sitting and tolerate a full day of computer screen viewing
