Beschreibung

• Design, build, and scale payment processor integrations and payments infrastructure, including retries and reconciliation • Establish architecture, patterns, and best practices for payments systems • Build user-facing features end-to-end, from database models and APIs to UI components • Use agentic AI development tools while ensuring code quality, security, and architectural integrity • Investigate payment fraud and disputed-charge incidents • Provide input to Legal and Support and help resolve billing-related customer issues • Improve reliability, monitoring, and alerting for payment-critical systems • Lead incident response, triage issues, drive resolution, and communicate status to stakeholders • Help ensure payments systems meet PCI-DSS and other compliance standards • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Finance to translate business requirements into shipped features • Explore and adopt emerging AI-powered development workflows • Own and scale Practice Better Payments, an embedded billing, subscriptions, and payment processing platform

🎯 Anforderungen

• 8+ years of relevant full-stack development experience in a SaaS B2B, customer-focused environment • Meaningful hands-on experience with payments, billing, or fintech systems • Direct experience integrating with a payment processor; Stripe strongly preferred • Working knowledge of PCI compliance, chargebacks and disputes, reconciliation, and fraud/risk fundamentals • Demonstrated daily experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot; this is not optional • Ability to prompt, guide, and critically evaluate AI-generated code for production standards and financial-data security • Ability to take substantial features from concept to shipping as a sole engineer • Strong communication and collaboration skills • In-depth .NET / C# skills required • Angular preferred; React accepted • Experience with .NET, AngularJS/jQuery, Angular, TypeScript, Stripe or equivalent payment processor, MongoDB, S3, SQS, Lambda/AWS, Slack, and Claude Code • Analytical, curious, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-moving growth-stage environment • Canadian-based candidate • Legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada • Practice Better cannot support work permit or visa sponsorship
