Beschreibung

• Build and maintain features across Ruby on Rails, React, and Flutter • Take end-to-end ownership from initial design through production deployment • Translate complex, ambiguous user needs into intuitive, technically sound solutions • Drive architectural decisions and solve impactful engineering challenges autonomously • Set high engineering standards, mentor teammates, and simplify processes • Balance feature velocity with long-term system health by identifying and addressing technical debt • Prioritize pragmatic simplicity and avoid unnecessary complexity • Own production issues and implement sustainable fixes to ensure reliability and performance • Participate in code reviews, documentation, mentorship, and process improvements • Collaborate with engineering teammates and cross-functional partners

🎯 Anforderungen

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of owning features from conception to production deployment • Deep proficiency in Ruby on Rails • Product-first mindset and ability to question requirements, identify gaps, and advocate for effective technical solutions • Deep understanding of relational database design, query optimization, and architectural trade-offs • Commitment to maintainability and security, including HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance • Strong communication skills, including asynchronous documentation and communication • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments with evolving requirements and ambiguity • U.S. work authorization; the client is not able to provide visa sponsorship • Experience building highly reliable software is nice to have • Direct experience with React and Flutter is nice to have • Hands-on AWS and modern DevOps experience is nice to have • Certifications will bolster the application • Experience with physical-device systems or low-connectivity environments is nice to have
