Beschreibung

• Develop and manage gift-planning strategy for a portfolio of prospects throughout the Tennessee and Mississippi/Alabama Regions • Develop, lead, and implement strategies to substantially grow Legacy Society membership • Maintain and enhance stewardship programs for planned-giving donors • Raise and enhance the profile of the Legacy Society • Deliver gift-planning training to advance knowledge and foster opportunities in gift conversations and strategy development • Stay current in gift-planning trends and fundraising techniques through meetings, conferences, and training programs • Provide technical assistance to regional development teams to increase fundraising capacity for planned and current gifts • Cooperate with financial-planning and estate-planning associations to plan meetings positioning the Red Cross as the charity of choice • Support regional reporting of estate documents to the Office of General Counsel • Communicate regularly with the Director of Gift Planning regarding donor and gift activity • Use the development prospect-management system for reporting donor and gift activity and managing fundraising and personal goals • Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gift-planning prospects and donors • Develop strategies to increase funding capacity and maximize donor relationships

🎯 Anforderungen

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience is required • A minimum of five years in major gift or gift planning fundraising with successful cultivating and soliciting experience is preferred • Experience promoting and managing gift planning programs is highly desirable • Experienced candidates from financial, estate, philanthropic planning, law, and trust administration fields are encouraged to apply • Knowledge of technical aspects of planned giving vehicles • Extensive knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques in a large organization • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation, negotiation, and strong interpersonal skills • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy in difficult or sensitive situations • Knowledge of Microsoft Office • Training in PG Calc or Crescendo planned giving software is desirable • Operational flexibility to meet sudden and unpredictable business needs • Moderate business travel (20%-30%) required • Must have own transportation • Valid driver’s license required • Significant gift-planning experience in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Alabama is a plus • Certification in CFRE, CFP, CAP, J.D., or LLM is highly preferred
