Beschreibung

• Lead technical accounting assessments for new standard implementations and prepare auditor-ready accounting policies and position memos • Oversee financial reporting, including quarterly debt covenant reports, audited financial statements, and quarterly investor reporting • Collaborate with FP&A on General Ledger coding, department allocations, and process improvements • Prepare intercompany entries and assess Tax and US GAAP implications • Oversee stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 • Review and approve bi-monthly US payroll and review outsourced Canadian payroll funding accuracy • Validate payroll inputs, including hours, overtime, bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, off-cycle payments, and leave adjustments • Own payroll GL mapping in Rippling and prepare payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end accruals • Oversee new state and provincial payroll tax registrations and payroll system compliance • Optimize payroll processes, tooling, data accuracy, and automation • Support annual audits and quarterly internal control testing • Ensure sales tax and franchise/business tax compliance and reporting • Review partnership entity taxes and K-1 issuances with the Controller • Prepare process-flow documentation, coordinate auditor walkthroughs, and maintain a risk-control matrix • Review journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliations prepared by outsourced team members • Manage insurance renewals, Certificates of Insurance, and claims • Collaborate cross-functionally on month-end close and ad-hoc reporting

🎯 Anforderungen

• Active CPA license required • Bachelor's degree in accounting required • Renewable industry experience required • 10–15+ years of progressive accounting experience required • Big 4 or Tier II audit firm experience required • Merger and acquisition experience is a plus • Experience establishing internal financial controls and QA oversight for multi-state US payroll operations highly preferred • Strong technical accounting skills • Thorough understanding of SOX compliance and IPO readiness • Advanced Excel proficiency • Familiarity with cloud-based HRIS/payroll platforms such as Rippling • Familiarity with AI tools • Deep understanding of US GAAP, including revenue recognition, payroll and wage/bonus accruals, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting • Experience managing and developing offshore teams • Experience collaborating with FP&A, HR, and TX Operations • Experience partnering with external US and international payroll vendors • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
