Beschreibung

• Lead the development and review of substation engineering deliverables, including equipment layouts, grounding systems, bus configurations, conductor and cable schedules, and general arrangement drawings • Perform and oversee engineering calculations for grounding analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, fault current, and equipment ratings • Lead equipment selection, specification development, and vendor drawing reviews • Prepare, review, and approve design packages and technical documentation • Coordinate across engineering, design, and project management teams • Perform and oversee quality control reviews for accuracy, completeness, and compliance • Manage multiple projects while maintaining scope, schedule, and budget • Ensure designs comply with IEEE, NEC, NESC, and ANSI standards • Interface with clients, resolve technical issues, and present engineering solutions • Support proposal development, scope definition, and project planning • Conduct site visits, field inspections, and construction support as needed • Mentor junior staff

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field • Professional Engineer (PE) license required • 8+ years of experience in power delivery, renewable energy, or power generation • Experience leading substation design projects and mentoring junior staff • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and electrical analysis software including ETAP, CYME, SKM, and PSCAD • Strong knowledge of IEEE, NESC, NEC, and ANSI codes and standards • Leadership, project management, and decision-making skills • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Office • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Experience with PVcase and PVCAD is a plus • Knowledge of utility-scale wind and solar projects, MV power systems, and AC/DC distribution systems is a plus • Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems is a plus • Manufacturer experience with power transformers, circuit breakers, AIS/GIS switchgear, and AC/DC inverters is a plus • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering, or related field preferred • U.S. work authorization verification required upon hire
