Beschreibung

• Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas • Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities • Design and ship full-stack features across backend, frontend, and potentially mobile • Deliver AI-powered products solving real operational problems • Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to translate ambiguous problems into technical plans and measurable outcomes • Build and scale systems behind AI-driven products, including data ingestion, APIs, and operator workflows • Conduct code reviews and design reviews • Mentor engineers and set standards for quality, velocity, and craft • Participate in customer interviews and collaborate with product managers and customer success • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles while scaling globally and across new offices

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience • 8+ years of experience in software design and development, including building and operating production systems at scale • Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend (web or mobile) • Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, or similar modern languages and frameworks • Experience leading cross-team or cross-org projects from inception through rollout • Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products • Strong communication skills and ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders • Track record of building zero-to-one products, improving systems, or solving difficult problems • Experience shipping AI-powered features in production • Comfort with AI-augmented development workflows such as Cursor and LLMs • Background working with real-world operational data or strong interest in learning the domain • Track record of mentoring senior engineers and influencing engineering culture, standards, and best practices beyond a single team • Side projects, open-source contributions, or other signals of curiosity and drive are advantageous
