Beschreibung

• Provide field technical pre-sales engineering for cloud, embedded software, connectivity, and hardware solutions • Drive revenue generation through large direct customers, solutions providers, distributors, and systems integrators • Provide Sierra Wireless technical training to partners on IoT cloud and connectivity offerings • Develop proposals and Statements of Work for large projects • Coordinate technical account activities with the sales team • Raise awareness of Sierra Wireless products within the specified geography • Cross-train the Sierra Wireless Technical team on AirVantage products and services • Own the overall customer onboarding process • Support sales teams in a technical pre-sales engineering capacity • Act as the Total Solution Technical Expert, qualifying opportunities and assessing customer business models and ROI • Determine Go/No Go decisions for Cloud & Connectivity Solutions projects • Support potential customers during trials to achieve first value and maximize conversion • Define technical deliverables in customer proposals with engineering, product management, service delivery, and project management teams • Conduct SWIR technology demonstrations for customers, partners, and internal personnel • Provide Product Management with analyzed customer feedback on software content and roadmaps

🎯 Anforderungen

• Minimum of a 4-year college degree in the field of engineering and/or Information Technology • 5+ years of experience working with a data-specific technical product line, including embedded software/hardware and SaaS • 10 years of Sales Engineering / Solutions Architect experience in relevant industry verticals • Solid understanding of the M2M/IoT ecosystem • Strong business acumen • Technical background with IP-based wireless technology, public wireless networks, and IP networking • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking • Ability to work alone and maintain performance • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills • Specific SaaS, cloud hosting, cloud software, enterprise IT, RESTful APIs, JSON, and HTTP knowledge • Knowledge of cloud-hosted cellular M2M/IoT data communications architecture • Understanding of cellular network architectures, including EVDO, HSPA, and LTE • Familiarity with regional Mobile Network Operators and account/IP assignment, private networking, SMS, and spectrum usage • Understanding of packet-switched networks, bridges, switches, and routers • Basic IP knowledge, including subnetting, CIDR, routable/non-routable addresses, and IP packet headers • Understanding of TCP and UDP • Understanding of SNMP, SMTP, Telnet, SSH, and SSL • Ability to travel 20–30% depending on customer assignment and region
