Beschreibung

• Set the technical bar for a team and lead the design and scope of complex software features • Leverage AI-assisted development workflows while maintaining engineering rigor • Guide and direct AI agents as primary architect, reviewer, and decision-maker • Build scaffolding for AI tools, including project context management, reusable skills, agent workflows, prompt frameworks, and automated quality checks • Drive automated testing and verification tied to requirements • Review AI-generated output for quality, security, maintainability, correctness, and sustainability • Improve AI-driven engineering workflows, tooling, agents, and best practices • Frame undefined problems, set constraints, and provide workable starting points • Communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences and facilitate technical decisions • Create and maintain technical documentation • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, designers, and product experts in a cross-functional scrum team • Own team delivery, pace, and quality by scoping and staging work • Define scope and estimates for proposed features • Propose, prototype, and champion technologies and processes • Mentor team members and establish development standards • Recommend designs, technologies, patterns, methods, and non-functional requirements practices • Participate in evening, weekend, or holiday on-call rotations • Review work to maintain high quality standards • Contribute to interviewing and selecting team members • Support company values and participate in strategic or cross-functional initiatives • Develop and optimize APIs, databases, UIs, design systems, and libraries in C# or JavaScript/TypeScript

🎯 Anforderungen

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience • 15+ years of professional experience as a software developer in an agile product team • 10+ years working with .NET Framework and C# required • Typescript or JavaScript required • 1+ years of professional work experience in a lead position or unofficially leading cross-functional projects • Experience with hands-on technical training environments, virtual labs, or learning platforms highly desirable • Experience mentoring and developing team members and promoting best practices and standards • Hands-on experience delegating implementation work to AI agents and reviewing and verifying the output • Proven regular use of modern AI/agent tools including GitHub CoPilot and Claude Code or similar • Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and code review • Evidence of building scaffolding around AI tools such as custom agents, MCP servers, eval harnesses, or team enablement strongly preferred • Exceptional judgment in evaluating AI-generated output • Demonstrated experience with MSSQL and Entity Framework • Proficiency collaborating with UX designers to translate designs into working software • Proficiency creating and consuming RESTful APIs • Proficiency in unit testing • Experience working with cloud-native applications • Ability to participate in team on-call rotation during evenings, weekends, or holidays • Authentication, NextJS, ExpressJS, and building pipelines/DevOps practices appreciated but not strictly required • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; Skillable participates in E-Verify • Primary residence must be in one of: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IN, KY, MA, ME, MI, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NV, NY, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WA, WI • Ability to work from a remote home office supporting privacy and focus for frequent video and voice calls • Periodic travel may be required, up to approximately 10%
