Beschreibung

• Build the software platform underneath Swiftly's transit data products • Modernize cloud infrastructure and expand into a second AWS region • Improve reliability of systems ingesting real-time transit data • Own the foundation enabling engineers to work quickly and safely with AI • Drive migration to Amazon EKS using reusable Kubernetes deployment, autoscaling, networking, and reliability patterns • Design multi-region resilience, failover, and data residency • Own and improve shared cloud infrastructure and automate provisioning • Make observability self-service with versioned dashboards, alerts, and reusable OpenTelemetry instrumentation • Build and operate the AI platform layer using managed model access, reusable tooling, templates, and documentation • Strengthen CI/CD pipelines and migrate workloads to a consolidated CI platform • Document platform decisions and align engineering, product, and go-to-market teams • Work closely with product teams to shape platform work around their needs • Participate in an on-call rotation for production systems and reduce repeat incidents • Help maintain a 99.9% uptime SLA and reliable, available products

🎯 Anforderungen

• Experience building and operating cloud infrastructure on a major cloud platform; AWS preferred • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including migrating workloads between CI platforms • Experience designing or operating multi-region deployments, including failover, data residency, and repeatable provisioning • Hands-on experience building AI tooling adopted by other engineers • Ability to write production-quality code or scripts in Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar • Familiarity with secure cloud networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, security groups, and IAM • Experience with observability practices and tools such as Grafana and OpenTelemetry • Strong written communication and ability to document platform decisions and build cross-functional alignment • Comfortable troubleshooting production systems and participating in on-call • Collaborative, pragmatic approach to technical decisions • Interest in building platforms that help engineers move faster and more safely • Security scanning, intrusion detection, policy-as-code, or other DevSecOps tooling experience is nice to have • Experience with managed API gateways such as Kong is nice to have • Experience with PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, or other databases is nice to have • Experience building or operating data pipelines is nice to have • Experience evaluating LLM output quality or measuring AI tooling impact on developer productivity is nice to have
